New Study to Help Understand Infertility in PCOS

Dr. Leanne M. Redman is an Associate Professor and Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Women’s Health Lab at Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge. Dr. Redman is an Australian native and an exercise physiologist with a Bachelor of Human Movement Science degree with Honors from Southern Cross University in 2000 and a Ph.D. in Physiology and ObGyn from the University of Adelaide in 2004.
Dr. Redman has been awarded more than $7M from the National Institutes of Health, USDA and other groups to undertake research projects pregnancy, polycystic ovary syndrome, gestational diabetes and maternal-infant health. Dr. Redman has established important community partnerships with Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge and Louisiana WIC services to undertake these studies at Pennington Biomedical. Dr Redman has published more than 60 research papers around weight loss, exercise, metabolism and women’s health. Dr. Redman is an advocate for living a healthy lifestyle and talks to several groups about the importance of a healthy lifestyle for fertility, pregnancy and a healthy baby.
