Dear PCOS Challenger,
Happy Holidays!
I wanted to thank everyone who supported PCOS Challenge this year and to those making donations during our year-end holiday fundraising campaign. We apppreciate you doing your part to help bring greater resources and support to women PCOS.
Finiding Greater Peace and Balance This Holiday Season and Year Round
Women with PCOS have very active minds and are in a heightened state of alertness about the things that affect our lives. The food, the exercise, our appearance and how others perceive us, conceiving a family, work duties, love life, family and friends are just a few things that are endlessly surfacing and racing through our thoughts. For many, these thoughts even interrupt or prevent sleep. Our current world demands a lot of us, but our bodies and minds were not designed to be in this constant state of stimulation. It disrupts our hormonal balance and exacerbates PCOS symptoms.
As we tend to become more reflective and introspective around holidays and the New Year, let's use this holiday season as an opportunity to find ways to incorporate balance in our lives. Take a few moments out of each day to deliberately create some stillness and peace. Whether it is through yoga, meditation, mind-body audio programs, acupuncture, or something similar, our bodies require it and we deserve it. This is one of the best gifts that we can give to ourselves this holiday season.

Why I Support PCOS Challenge: "This year I was diagnosed with PCOS and it was a big pill to swallow. I felt really alone. I didn't know who to talk to, what to say or what the next steps were. I knew I couldn't be the only woman in the world who felt this way after their diagnosis. When it was time to work on this year's event, I knew in my heart I had to choose an organization that actively advocates for women with PCOS. That organization is PCOS Challenge!"
